La Salle Green Hills Coordinators conducts UBD seminar at La Salette School
The Academic Coordinators from La Salle Green Hills (LSGH) conducted a seminar on Understanding by Design (UBD) last February 27, 2010 at the Escuela de Nuestra Señora de La Salette (La Salette School), Tapuac, Dagupan City. Entitled “Let’s UBD-ize”, the LSGH UBD Team was led by their Principal and the current La Salle supervisor for La Salette School, Mr. Jose Ramelle E. Javier.
Hosted by La Salette School and sponsored by Phoenix Publishing House, Inc., the said seminar is part of a series of workshops originally intended exclusively for La Salette faculty only. Considering the importance and the timeliness of the activity, the administration led by its President, Dr. Lina Galvan-Tan, decided to open the seminar to the public school system as a way of reaching out to the fellow Dagupeños. As a result, sixty six (66) public school teachers benefitted from the La Salette School-sponsored seminar-workshop.
La Salette Interact Club members attended the 3-day Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) 2009 Conference of the District 3790 last November 6-8. 2009 at the Venus Hotel, Baguio City. Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Dagupan East (RCDE), a premiere Rotary Club in Dagupan City, the delegation of La Salette Interactors and UL Rotaractors also bagged the 2nd prize in the Contest.
Members of the La Salette Interact Club are: Rustan Indong (moderator), Irma Jaramillo, Mayrielle Domasing, Joana Paola Gutierrez, Marlyn Reyes, Marychris delos Santos, and Janella Andaya. With them are RCDE President Mr. Mario Lim, Secretary Tony Patungan and Treasurer Ruben de Guzman.

College celebrates acquaintance party
The College Department (BS Nursing) of the Escuela de Nuestra Señora de La Salette successfully celebrated the 2009 College Acquaintance Party at the Lenox Hotel, Dagupan City last October 2, 2009. Dressed to kill, the collegiates enjoyed the party and danced the night despite the looming typhoon Pepeng. The event was graced by the administration led by the President Dr. Lina Galvan Tan with BSN Dean Mrs. Susan Castañeda and VP-Academics & Development Mr. Rex Lor. Inspiring the students to become future topnotchers was Dra. Adrienne Estrada, MD, RN who recently passed the Board exams.
